‎Gov. Okpebholo Approves Minor Cabinet Reshuffle In Edo, Redeploys 4 Commissioners

The Edo State Government has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle approved by Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery in the state.
‎
‎In a Government Special Announcement dated September 11, 2026 and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., the Governor said the re-deployment is aimed at enhancing efficiency and promoting greater effectiveness in the management of state affairs.

‎According to the statement, four Commissioners have been affected by the immediate re-deployment:

‎1. Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue – Moved from Ministry of Water Resources to Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development
‎2. Hon. (Barr.) Vincent Osas Uwadiae – Moved from Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to Ministry of Water Resources
‎3. Hon. Andrew Momodu – Moved from Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources
‎4. Prof. Omorodion I. Ikponmwosa – Moved from Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy

‎Governor Okpebholo urged the affected Commissioners to bring their wealth of experience to bear in their new portfolios and to remain committed to the administration’s SHINE Agenda for the sustainable development of Edo State.
‎
‎The re-deployment takes immediate effect.
‎
‎The SHINE Agenda remains the blueprint of the Okpebholo administration, focusing on Security, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Natural Resources, and Education.
