ESAMA OF BENIN CELEBRATES WIFE, LADY CHERRY IGBINEDION, ON BIRTHDAY

Benin City – The Esama of Benin, His Excellency Sir Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, CFR, has paid glowing tribute to his wife, Her Excellency Lady Cherry Igbinedion, as she marked her birthday.

In a statement released on behalf of the entire House of Igbinedion, the Esama described Lady Cherry as the “Matriarch of the House of Igbinedion” and hailed her as a woman of “incomparable virtue, grace, and substance.”

The Esama noted that for decades, Lady Cherry has served not only as his wife but also as his confidant and “the soul of our home,” acting as the “indisputable rallying point” for the Igbinedion family.

He credited her with weaving the family together through love, patience, and wisdom, and described her as the unifying force of the dynasty.

Sir Igbinedion specifically celebrated Lady Cherry’s “visionary contributions to the future of our nation” through her leadership at the Igbinedion Education Centre. He praised her “hands-on dedication to nurturing young minds,” stating that she has set a “gold standard for academic excellence and moral discipline.” “You didn’t just build a school; you created a sanctuary of learning where thousands of leaders have been forged,” the statement read.

The Esama added that her commitment to the children of the Centre remains “one of your most enduring gifts to humanity.”

The statement also highlighted Lady Cherry’s record in philanthropy, citing her “quiet acts of kindness to the less privileged” and devotion to humanitarian causes. The Esama said she has carried the mantle of Matriarch with “a rare blend of nobility and humility,” becoming a “beacon of hope to all who cross your path.”

On behalf of the children, grandchildren, and the entire House of Igbinedion, the Esama prayed for Lady Cherry’s continued health, joy, and serenity. “May the Almighty God continue to envelop you in His divine embrace. May He grant you many more years of robust health, overflowing joy, and the serenity that comes from a life so meaningfully lived,” he said.
