Sultan Saad attends Muslim World Leaders Confab in Oxford , England.

The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies in Oxford, England, recently hosted a two-day summit of Muslim world leaders, marking a significant milestone – the 40th anniversary of the Centre’s creation.

The event, which included the Annual General Meeting of the Centre’s Board of Trustees, was declared open by the Centre’s Grand Patron, King Charles III.

The summit brought together esteemed leaders, including former President of Turkey Abdullah Gul, Saudi Prince Turki Al Faisal, and Sultan Nazrin Shah, alongside Sultan Saad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto.

The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies aims to promote interfaith dialogue, inter-civilizational understanding, Islamic finance, environmental issues, fellowships, scholarships, and the growth of Muslim youths in Britain.

In his remarks, Sultan Saad Abubakar emphasized the importance of peace and dialogue in fostering social harmony and peaceful coexistence.

He noted that Islam is a religion of peace and encouraged citizens of the world, particularly in Africa, to adopt these principles as guiding tenets.

The Sultan was accompanied on his trip to England by his Sarkin Fada, Alhaji Kabir Aminu Tafida. This gathering of Muslim world leaders serves as a platform for discussing pressing issues and promoting understanding among nations.

The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies continues to play a vital role in advancing Islamic studies and promoting interfaith dialogue, and this summit underscores its commitment to these goals.
