An On Air Personality and staff of Independent Television and Radio, Olasunkanmi Hassan popularly known as Otunba Ororo One was on Tuesday attacked at Bronze Hotel, along the Benin-Lagos Road, Oluku, Benin City.
It was a normal day for residents of Benin city as they went about their daily activities.
The same could not however be said of a frontline Benin-based on-air Radio and Television personality with ITV & radio and an anchor of the popular Radio programme, Man Around Town, Olasunkanmi Hassan, popularly known as Ororo, who was brutally manhandled by men of the Edo State Task Force On Cultism and Kidnapping.
Narrating his ordeal broadtvnews.com.ng, Ororo said shortly after presenting the Tuesday edition of Man Around Town, he went to his hotel room to rest preparatory for his evening programme.
He said while taking his afternoon nap, he was rudely woken up by a bang on the door only to be attacked by men of the special task force who slapped repeatedly, teargassed him in the process and dragged from his room to the roadside but the intervention to the cps to Edo state Governor, Fred Itua who identified him and rescued him from attacks by Task Force following shouts from passersby who were outrage by the inhuman treatment on
At the time of this report, efforts to obtain comments from members of the task force were unsuccessful.
