Benin City, Edo State – The Edo State Government has dismissed as “baseless and inflammatory” allegations made by the Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) about the state’s situation.
In a statement, Special Adviser to the Governor on media projects and strategic communication, Godswill Inegbe, described CRPP’s claims as a “desperate attempt to score cheap political points and whip up emotions”.
He said the people of Edo State see through the “facade of CRPP’s propaganda”.
Inegbe stated that Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration is working tirelessly to address challenges and making progress, with the governor committed to improving Edo people’s lives.
The statement challenged CRPP to provide evidence for claims of insecurity and kidnapping, saying these issues were inherited from previous administrations and are being addressed headon.
“Edo State Government will not be distracted by CRPP’s antics,” Inegbe said, urging CRPP to join forces to build a better Edo State.
The statement reaffirmed Governor Okpebholo’s focus on delivering good governance and working towards a brighter future for Edo State.
