Edo State Government has announced the cancellation of the June edition of the monthly sanitation exercise
scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025.
In a special announcement released by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government on June 23, 2025, the Edo State Government said the cancellation is due to the Nationwide Polio Immunisation Campaign, which will take place on the same day.
The statement explains that, “This is to enable Health Officers and other persons who will be involved in the exercise have unrestricted movement on that day.”
Although the exercise is cancelled, the government is urging all residents to maintain cleanliness. Citizens are encouraged to keep their surroundings clean to support public health, disease prevention, and community wellness.
