The House of Igbinedion has expressed profound appreciation to Nigerians and people across the globe for the outpouring of prayers, love, and goodwill extended to the family during the 92nd Birthday Anniversary of its Patriarch, His Excellency Sir Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion CFR, the Esama of Benin Kingdom.
In a statement signed by the former Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Sir Chief Dr. Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion, on behalf of the House, the family said the celebration of the Esama was made remarkable by the overwhelming support from well-wishers at home and in the diaspora.
The House described the Esama of Benin as a colossus of philanthropy, an icon of industry, and a bridge-builder whose life continues to inspire generations across Nigeria and beyond.
The family specifically acknowledged and thanked His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for his gracious felicitation and fatherly goodwill.
Also appreciated is His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State, for identifying with the House and for his commitment to the growth and development of Edo State.
The House further extended gratitude to Her Excellency Ida Betty Raila Odinga, Kenyan Ambassador and Permanent Representative to UNEP and Ghanaian President Dramani Mahama for their felicitations and goodwill.
Royal recognition was also given to His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, and His Imperial Majesty, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, Iku Baba Yeye, for their blessings and presence which symbolized the unity of the Yoruba nation and the Nigerian traditional institution.
The House of Igbinedion also appreciated Ambassadors and Members of the Diplomatic Corps, from across the world,Business and Political Associates, Religious and Traditional Leaders, Family Members, Friends and Well Wishers for their prayers, visits, tributes, and acts of kindness which made the 92nd birthday of the Esama a memorable and historic one.
The family prayed that God in His infinite mercy will continue to bless, strengthen, and grant the Esama of Benin many more years in sound health, wisdom, and service to humanity.
