As part of the SHINE AGENDA OF Edo state Government and in line the Renewed Hope Agenda OF President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ,Edo state Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo has distribute construction equipments to the 18 local governments areas of edo state to fast development and boost their revenue profile
The ceremony, held at Garrick Memorial School Field Ekenkhuan Road in Benin City, was attended by FCT minister NYESOME WIKE, EDO STATE Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa; the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor Esq; the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, RT Hon Blessing Agbebaku; and members of the Edo State House of Assembly; the 18 local government council chairmen, party leaders and other stakeholders.
Edo APC state chairman emperor Jarrett Tenebe in his remarks thanked his party leaders and the governor of Edo state,for his people oriented projects adding that after Senator Adams Aliu oshiomole, there hasn’t been good governance in Edo state until the present governor came in.He commended president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support to Governor Monday okpebholo to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people of Edo State.
The former deputy governor of Edo state, Rt honorable pius Egberawmen, in his remarks on behalf of Edo south, acknowledged the developmental strides oof Governor Monday Okpebholo and sued for more support.
In his words, “We are here to take the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President to the grassroots. Governance stopped during the time of Adams Oshiomhole and it has resumed again now during the time of Monday Okpebholo,” .
On his part ,the Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District and Edo APC leader ,Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, said governance is about identifying with the ordinary man and using political will to protect their interests .He commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for initiating a new wave of developments across the 18 local government areas of the state.
The Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, Edo State,Mrs Edesili Okpebholo, Anani commended the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo for driving development to the grassroots.
In his remarks,APC leader Edo central eneral Cecil Esekhaigbe rtd noted that the distribution of the 54 construction equipment marks a new chapter in grassroots development, as it will empower local governments to execute critical infrastructure projects, improve service delivery, and accelerate development across Edo State.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr Nyesom Wike while praising the governor’s commitment to rural development and economic empowerment at the grassroots in line with the Renewd Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu challenged the benefiting local government Areasto put the equipments to productive use
In his address, Governor Monday Okpebholo described the handover as a strategic step in strengthening local government administration and delivering development to rural communities in line with in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the SHINE Agenda of his administration
The event climaxed with the cutting of the tape by FCT minister Nyesome Wike to officicially inaugurate the equipments to herald the distribution of the equipmentds to the 18 Local Government Areas of Edo state amidst cheers
Responding on behalf of the council chairmen, the ALGON Chairman Edo State and Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Area, Hon. Sunny Ekpeson, described the commissioning as a celebration of practical governance by Governor Monday Okpebholo in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In an interview, a chieftain of the APC in Edo State Hon Ephraim Aluebhosele who expressed his delight at the success of the event thanked Governor Monday Okpebholo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their extraordinary commitment to the uplift of Edo People in Particular and Nigerians in general
